ABOUT ME
A classically trained vocalist for 15 years, Emily has greatly enjoyed her many years of performing choral music, classical art songs, and opera, but her heart truly lies within the world of musical theatre. With over 20 separate musicals and plays under her belt, Emily loves coaching singers on how to tell stories through song. Emily holds a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Grove City College. In 2014, she sang with the Pittsburgh Pops Orchestra, sharing the stage with Broadway favorites Idina Menzel, Rebecca Luker, and Brian Darcy James. In 2014, she performed selections from Les Miserables as Cosette to Broadway star Ivan Rutherford’s Jean ValJean.
Emily’s deepest passions are for leading worship at her church, spending time with her husband and family, and performing on the theatrical stage. She is also a huge nerd, and will gladly talk to you about any of her loves, including Star Wars, Disney, Lord of the Rings, Marvel, etc. When she’s not listening to Broadway showtunes, Emily’s musical tastes range from Fleet Foxes, to Mozart, to David Bowie.

As an avid performer in multiple genres, I’m passionate about singers feeling good and confident about their voices. Whether you have specific goals, or just want your voice to “sound better”, we will work together to get you to the place you want to be. We’ll focus on breath support, vocal health, strengthening and increasing your vocal range, audition prep, and much more!

PIANO

Learning to play the piano is one of the BEST ways to begin or develop your understanding of music as a whole! We’ll learn how to read the notes, incorporate dynamics, and play with expression, among many other things. With training catered to your experience level, goals, and musical preferences, we’re sure to have a wonderful time! And parents, don’t forget - it’s never late for YOU to start learning too! Make that life-long dream a reality and start taking lessons yourself!

WORSHIP
Worship has been important to me ever since I was a child, and it continues to be a large and essential part of my life. I believe that, as children of God, we are called, commanded, and equipped by the Holy Spirit, through the blood of Jesus Christ, to worship the Lord with joy and thanksgiving. If anyone has reason to celebrate, it’s God’s people!
